After clicking the "Bandora" button, the Bandora window should have opened automatically. It is subdivided into two views: The measures view and the tracks view.

In the tracks view, you now see all the tracks from the FORTE file. They have a "MIDI" in the third column (all other tracks will have "Style"). The other columns give you some mixing options for playback. The most important ones are "Patch" for the sound and "Level" for the volume of the respective track.

The measures view show the structure of your song (i.e. chords and parts like "chorus"). This is where you enter the Bandora elements and work on your arrangement.

For this, click at a measure. Now click right and select "Load Band Style". If you prefer using your keyboard, you can also press Shift+B. You can now choose from hundreds of band styles. In the beginning we recommend to try out a lot, in order to get an overview of what Bandora has on offer.

When you have loaded a band style to a measure, you have to compose the arrangement to listen to it. Click "Create" in the upper left corner or press F7 on your keyboard. Playback will start instantly.

Repeat this process a few times. Bandora works probabilistically, which means that the arrangements will be a little bit different every time you compose. So it is worth while listening to a handful of versions of your song.

While the band styles and their sub-styles (like Intro, Groove 1, Groove 2, etc.) already endow you with a lot of potential options, this is only the start. Bandora Creator and Bandora Professional will offer an unfathomable tool box for fine-tuning all the styles and voices to your personal needs.

This is for experts. But in Bandora Arranger, you also have some more options: drum styles and drum fills.

Drum styles are separate style files commanding only the drum tracks. This way, you can tune the drums independently from the rest of your band, multiplying your editing options.

Drum fills are a very powerful tool for making your song sound more interesting. Click a measure to highlight the part where the drum fill should start. Now enter it, either again with a right click or by pressing Ctrl+F on your keyboard. Choose the desired length. The grey bar in the measure shows the drum fill. If you want to delete it, go to the same menu and choose "None". The drum fill will disappear.

Play around with band styles, drum styles and drum fills until you are happy with the results. When you are, click "Export Score".
